My husband & I looked at a 35' Carver. Someone told us we won't be happy as they don't handle well in rough waters do to the flat bottom. We currentally have a 29 Tiara. Any thoughts?

I don't think Carver ever made a flat bottom boat. My 38' has a 19degree
dead rise and that is far from being flat. Which model 35' Carver are you looking at?

My 25' Chris has a nearly flat bottom, not to sure what the dead rise is but it almost flat at the transom. There is alot of pitch and roll in heavy sea's. I need to upgrade someday to at least a 30.

I'm going to be over at Cove Marina on the other side of Lake St. Clair with 15 other boats for a three day party. The marina has a 18 hole mini golf putt-putt. Somebody is going to set up a bar in the middle of the course for refreshment during the putt-putt game. Not quite the Bay, but a good time. Shotman and I are going to try to get a quick week - end at the bay using his Searay . His boat burns about 1/4 of the gas that the candita4 does. When we do it will be just a couple of days notice to everybody. His boat is a 24' and neither one of us can take a chance on getting weathered in on a Sunday and making it back to work for Monday morning. In the Carver we just go anyway. At 20,000 pounds we just kind of make our way home as best we can. Of course we have headed back home from the Bay when we should not have. But after 3 1/2 days of drinking out brains out for New Years our judgement is kind of clouded.

The cove is pretty sweet. I'll probably do a weekend there with the power squadron.

Definitely let us know when you're heading up candita4, and leave the test tubes at home. It will be our turn to repay you guys for your generosity. Just don't slack off on that bra collection

That could never happen. I just don't know where to display them on Shotmans boat. Some of those bras were bigger than his boat.

The bow rail seems like a good spot to me.

Hopefully we'll have some more than willing participants. (is that the right spelling?)
