Oak Point State Park

Postby dockrocker » Thu Jul 15, 2004 10:27 am

Maybe the admins or some locals could answer this better but i was looking at the other pib website and they mentioned oak point state park for dockage. Has anyone used these docks or do you know how deep the water is over there? The only reason i'm asking is I've traveled over before and wasn't able to get a dock so i'd like to have as many alternatives as possible. TIA.

no power over there, no beverages allowed and i wouldn't recommend it for anything over 30' or more than 3' draft. should be a high water year, but if not...beware...

My brother in law took his boat over for the first time this weekend and he docked at Oak Point. It was a freaking long walk from downtown in sandles. I think he paid $20 vs. the $40 it would have cost him at A-C docks. But he was right on the dock rather than 5 deep. It was quiet over there too.
