I was just wondering since gas is going up more and more if they were going to change the rates up there at all. I think it was 3 bucks the last time I was there.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did, but it's not like you really ever need a cab.

If you take the Miller Ferry there is a bus there and it's just 2 bucks to go downtown; it just drops you off at one place though, right where the depot is with the train of site seeing cars.

Right... I'm just thinking of if I end up camping... the back and forth for that... Hopefully, they won't have to raise their rates to compete with the gas prices...

I hate that bus. I don't care if it is only $2 I had all my crap with me two years ago (sleeping bag, booze, and other bags). The bus dropped me off at the drop off and I had to walk all the way to the docks. Doesn't sound far, but I was carrying a ton of stuff and it was brutal. I got so tired and thirsty I had to stop at DQ for something to drink before I made it. Never again.....I'll pay the exta $2

It's totally worth the extra money... i've ridden the bus once before, and it brought back terrible memories from the school bus! lol

cabs are still $3 and the bus is still $2...you can always walk from the campground and stop at Joe's and the Winery on the way!

I like the bus, the people are always nice and friendly and I have had to make the walk farther than the boats before with luggage with no wheels and I lived. (barely) :D

Paul just wanted a beer sooner, the weight of the luggage didn't matter, he just wanted a beer sooner!!!!

Yep, you know me too well Mister Kay. Once I hit that island I'm ready to start drinking. I don't have time time to walk all the way to the docks. lol

Where are you and Matt docking? A or B dock?
