Sorry for the late response, but Kay you are right. You what kills me the most are the people who use to smoke that are big haters now! If I quit smoking or lose weight etc.. I'm not going to rub it in anyones face that they should quit! I am going to try the laser treatment to try to quit, but I don't agree with the smoking ban. Here in Chicago they had it for over a year now, but not in bars! It's for restraunts and any public places like bowling alleys for instance. If a restraunt can prove that it sells more alcohol than food, then you can smoke at the bar. They said that it will be at bars too, but I don't know when. If you don't like smoke then don't come! It's been this way forever, now lets change it because people who have nothing better to do complained. The same people that [banned] about mascots that are somehow offensive to them even though they have been around for 100 years. I don't exactly like smoke in my face when I eat , but to get rid of smoking all together isn't right. Maybe next they take away alcohol, I'd love to see how many people go to the bay if that were to happen! Do I think smoking kills ya, yeah it probably does, but there are too many other things that can kill me too! Like the drinking or the food that I eat, and the [banned] I breath in everyday besides smoke! I want to quit because of the money $7.50 a pack I spend, and because of my health in some ways, but I'm not going to complain to the smokers to put their smokes out when I am around! I know I am rambling, but it pisses me off when people don't understand how our world is changing for the bad. I feel bad for all of our kids! Everything is discrimination, ban everything that the government says is bad for you, let all of these F@@king people from other countries just come here and live and have 25 kids and collect money. I can go on and on, but I won't! I just wanted to vent a little bit. Thanks for listening! Think about though!

This is crazy. Everyone take a step back and just be grateful you have all kinds of choices. The problem is the people in this nation are spoiled, opinionated, self rightous, over indulgent and out of control.......thats why our government, whom WE voted into various offices, feel the need to make these laws. I used to smoke, made the choice to quit, and choose where I want to go. I hope when I go out, that no-one is carrying a firearm. I hope when I'm driving home from my kids practices, that someone isn't driving intoxicated. Most of the laws are made with the intention to better our future, in some way.....I guess. And in light of what happened this week at Virginia Tech, the right to smoke or not to smoke is the least of this nations worries.

Maybe if the lawmakers didn't take away those students right to bear arms they could have shot back.

Could also have been a homemade bomb, a car driven into a crowd, or a number of other creative mass murder devices.

More laws I say. We need more laws! Forget about enforcing the ones we already have, we need shiny new laws to stop this kind of stuff! More words written on paper are the awnser, not intelligent enforcement!

p.s. the VT guy failed a psych test miserably in 2005 that BY LAW prohibited a handgun purchase.

p.s.s.
Outlawing booze worked real well in the 20's. Nobody could get thier hands on the stuff. Because everybody know criminals and mass murders pay close attention to what's illegal and what's not.

Unbelievable. What an absolute waste of resources. I could name a million more important things your legislators should be spending thier time and money on. Think of all the wasted law enforcement dollars being used to enforcement this rediculus smoking ban.
Our borders are porous to illegals, jobs are being lost left and right, there is a baseless war going on, infrastructure is crumbling, people are starving on the streets, health insurance is through the roof and you people are spending your time and money making sure naughty smokers can't light in FREAKING BARS! Way to see the big picture folks.
