Same here... Even when I was going there to work every weekend, the drive up was the best... then the anticipation while riding on the ferry... Meeting all of the people up there that you know you'll run into later while all doing the same thing...

What else is great - when you're there (especially for awhile) you lose track of the fact that "real life" is going on. I pretty much never watched TV or read a paper, so I was always clueless as to what was going on, outside of Indians games on the radio. One fall I got back to the mainland for school and people were talking about Princess Di dying and I was like, when did that happen?

I only seemed to care about what was going on that night on the Island...

As I look out the window at the blue sky, I can't wait to get to the bay either. But, to be honest, I'm still kind of glad it's a couple months away. I don't know about the rest of you, but I gained several pounds over the holiday's. I need a couple months to lose a few pounds so I at least feel a little better about myself.

Ha ! You know how it is....you have to feel comfortable about yourself. And I over indulged a little lately. Plus I have to lose a lot of weight because I know I will be gaining a bunch in the summer from all the alcohol.

Yeah, I was at 225 in December and I'm down to 200. 10 more to go for me to feel comfortable!

It's been a real challenge to stay on the straight and narrow since I've been crashed at Bobdogs for about a month. I'll be moving out in April, so it will be a little easier.

Congrats Kindy. That's quite an accomplishment losing 25 lbs in less than 3 months. Keep up the good work.

Hey, that's me. I'm 6' (OK, 5'11 1/2") and weigh 196 right now. I hope to get down to 185 by the second week in April. I think I can do it.
