Visiting for the first time May 27th-Would like suggestions

Post by qtpieofthe505 » Wed May 11, 2005 3:29 pm

Hi everyone.

I'm visiting Put in Bay for the first time on May 27th with my husband and my parents. We all like the bar scene and live music. What are the best places to check out? We'll also be there some during the day. Are there any must stop places? Thanks for your help.

Just work your way up and down Delaware Street. Something there should catch your eye! Frosty's and Crescent's Tavern are good places to start. The Boat House and Mister Ed's also rock. I'm sure others on this MB can tell you more fun places to check out.

You really can't miss a good time at the bay, unless you sit in your hotel room and do nothing.... but that's impossible... just hit as many bars as you can... Save the Brewery and skyway for late night... That's what I usually do...I'll be partying on the docks that weekend... washing away a lot of crap! mostly, you'll have to peel me off the bunks of captain Matt's boat!
Hey! Who took the cork off my lunch??!

Glad to hear your still making the trip Nancy, I can't wait, gonna be soem good times!!!

Also, go up in Perry's monument and also rent a golf cart for a while and tour the island. The top deck og the boardwalk is also a good place for a drink.

Stop by the docks and have a beer also, prob A dock, hopefully we can get as good a spot as we did last year on the finger docks of A.

Check out the "top 5 bars" post on this site. That will give you many peoples opinions about the best bars to hit...and why. Of course it's better if you hit them all and make up your own mind, but that post will give you some good ideas. Like Bullette said, you cannot go to the bay and not have a great time.

There are lots of things to at the bay besides sit in bars not that there not fun by any means. I defently think you should visit them all but if the fam is into different things go to the putinbay.com and I think you can parasail, jet skys and rent golf carts to site see (love the golf carts) and this year will be a big adventure for the most of us to see how things have changed. Well hope you and fam have fun....

Monument is fun, winery is a good time, state park is nice, top of the boardwalk has a nice view.

When it's warmer the poolbars will be nice.

Maybe the hottub will be open at the PIB resort.
