Put-in-Bay Visitation reached 2 million

Put-in-Bay, Ohio- The 2013 Annual Spring Fling Customer Appreciation Party will take place on May 3rd and May 4th. This annual event draws over 2000 people for a weekend of fun, friendship and great food and beverage.

On Friday night, we block off the cul-de-sac of the first street of the Island Club and have a beer and bonfire reception from 7-10pm. Live entertainment is provided by Put-in-Bay's JD Owen and it's a great time. The beer and the music is all part of your stay. The whole group goes downtown to our host bar, Mr. Ed's, and our group gets in for free and enjoys the Put-in-Bay night out. All the bars are open and it's like a summer weekend!

Saturday, we wake up at the crack of noon and get set up for a day of music, food, beer and friends. We have 50 kegs of beer on tap, we cook over 1000 hamburgers and 500 hot dogs, and Put-in-Bay's JD Owen entertains along with one of Put-in-Bays best bands. In years past surprise guest appearances have been made by Put-in-Bay legends Pat Dailey, Mike "Mad Dog" Adams, Bob Gatewood and Ray Fogg.

From 1pm to 7pm you just eat, drink, listen to the music (this year's band is "The Junk"), enjoy Put-in-Bay, make some new friends, cause a little trouble, go back downtown, and have a ball.

Rooms for this weekend includes four wristbands for the weekends festivities. Suites include six wristbands. You must be a registered guest of the Edgewater Hotel, the Put-in-Bay Condos, the Put-in-Bay Resort, the Bay Lodging Resort, Commodore Resort, or the Island Club to attend the events. NO exceptions can be made as this is a private party.

Get discounts on your Jet Express Ferry trip, discounts at most of the Put-in-Bay shops and merchants, free admission to most of the bars, Friday night welcome party with music and beer at the Island Club, and late night parties at Mr. Ed's. It's our way of saying thank you to our customers and friends and a great way to start off and finish the season.

This is our twice yearly Customer Appreciation Party. Join over 1000 Put-in-Bay partygoers for a weekend of music, food, beverages, friends and discounts for almost every shop, bar and restaurant at Put-in-Bay.

Every year, two million people annually discover the magic of the Bass Islands of Lake Erie, especially Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island. Transportation to Put-in-Bay usually occurs by the Jet Express from Port Clinton and Sandusky, Ohio
The name of the island comes from a phrase said by Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry in the 1800s during war with the British. When Perry was asked about a captured British fleet, he said “Put them in the bay.”

This two by four mile island boasts the nation’s third largest monument, named after Perry and an affordable, par three, nine-hole golf course plus several unique shops, restaurants and activities for all ages.

Most events and activities occur between April and October, but several events occur throughout the year, including an antique car parade on Sundays at 2 p.m. For a complete official schedule of Put-in-Bay events visit our site.

Put-in-Bay is a popular vacation spot just 2 miles offshore of mainland Northwest Ohio in Lake Erie. While "Put-in-Bay" is technically the name of the village on South Bass Island, the name commonly is inadvertently used to refer to the entire island. A summer resort since the mid-1800's, the village can be considered the hub of tourism among the Lake Erie Islands, with its numerous taverns, wineries, restaurants, waterfront condos, rental homes, and hotels.
