Ohio Bike Week began as the North Coast Thunder Rally & Ohio State H.O.G. Rally in 1999 and 2000. In 2006, North Coast Thunder Rally was rebranded as Ohio Bike Week. Since then, Ohio Bike Week has become a 10-day premier event planned around the dates for the AHDRA Ohio Bike Week Nationals. The Rally on the Rock portion of Bike Week started when bikers discovered the fun and entertainment to be had on South Bass Island at Put-in-Bay. Ohio Bike Week offers many days of great activities, entertainment and rides-Many at NO CHARGE.
Island bikers used to enjoy a Hog Roast in DeRivera Park from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM & entertainment from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. There were many contests, prizes, and live music. Donations used to be accepted for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
