Mossbacks Island Bar & Grill, established in 1998, is Put In Bay's most exciting restaurant.
Mossbacks Bar & Grill is located downtown, in the old Doller building across from Derivera Park.
The Doller building was built in 1867 & owned by one of Put In Bay's most prominent citizens, Valentine Doller. In fact, at one time Mr. Doller owned the entire island.
The Doller building has served as post office, general store, tavern, hardware store, bait & tackle shop, ladies apparel & gift shop.
We are an up-scale casual restaurant & bar, with a classic decour made up of rich dark woodwork with great vews of downtown Put In Bay, Derivera Park, the public docks & beautiful Lake Erie.
We serve lunch and dinner daily & breakfast on weekends. We specialize in fresh Lake Erie perch & walleye, the finest 1/2 pound burgers, the absolute best steaks & chops available, grilled vegetable & turkey pinini sandwiches, fresh salads, delicious appetizers & mouth watering deserts.
We also have a selection of children's menu items.
Our bar menu consists of a large selection of domestic & imported beers, both in bottle and on tap, excellent single malt scotches, single barrel bourbons and moderatly priced wines.
